The ArteLab is a Conservation & Restoration Company, expert in cleaning and restoring paintings, from historic oil paintings to contemporary works of art. Founded in 2003, by the conservator restorer Elizabeth Martins, specialised in easel painting and contemporary art.
Since establishing our studio, we are the fine art restorers of choice to the Gulbenkian Foundation for over 16 years, as well as to many prestigious galleries and private collections.
Our conservation & restoration services comprise paintings, watercolours, frames and gilding, sculptures, art on paper and other varied materials found in contemporary works. We also provide condition reports, advice on collection management, preventive conservation methods and adequate storage.
